虽然网民一直戏称 Myvi 是国民跑车，但是实际上在2000年代初期 Proton 真的计划开发一款国民跑车，这个跑车计划就是 Proton Ultimate ！这款车计划采用 Lotus 的平台以及新开发的2.0L V6 引擎，不过很可惜的是这款车到最后并没有如愿投产。
