随着我国政府宣布从3月18日起实施14天的行动管制或限制活动令（Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan）以对抗持续蔓延的新冠肺炎，交通部长拿督斯里魏家祥如今也宣布，交通部旗下所有机构也将在这期间全面关闭，所有与交通部有关的事物，包括更新 Roadtax 等皆须透过网上完成！

较早前，我国陆路交通局（JPJ）指示东马邮局由9月1日起不再为当地2.0L以上车辆提供更新 Roadtax 的服务，这项政策一出惹得民怨四起，因为这对当地偏远地区的民众造成了很大不便。如今，交通部长陆兆福就指出，将会与 JPJ 探讨这项为了减少政府收入流失的政策是否应该继续！
