成立于1993年的第二国产车Perodua全名为Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Berhad，顾名思义就是马来西亚第二家国产车公司，公司主要是由UMW（38%），Daihatsu（25%），MBM Resources（20%），PNB Equity Resources（10%）和Mitsu & Co. Ltd合作成立，因为主要技术来自Daihatsu，而Daihatsu身为Toyota集团一员，所以普遍上很多民众把Perodua当作是日本车。
