上一代的 Mazda3 MPS 搭载了2.3L的涡轮增压引擎，配上了6速的手排变速箱，最大马力值达到263hp，扭力值为380Nm，成为了少数的日系钢炮代表。不过自从推出新一代的Mazda3至今MPS钢炮版迟迟不见踪影，有消息就指，披着KODO魂动设计的Mazda3钢炮版MPS并不在原厂开发计划当中！
